With a 495-horsepower V8 and 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with short ratios that takes the thundering V8-powered Corvette C8 to 60 MPH from a standing start in just 2.8 seconds. That’s not only due to the power, but also thanks to better grip provided by the weight shifting backward allowing the tires to really bite into the asphalt. The same goes for exiting the corners under power.

Cornering is yet another benefit of the mid-engine configuration where a hint of understeer on entry yields to a carving arc through the apex. It’s all about bringing the polar inertia the center of the car where the weight is evenly distributed to all four wheels. Just the fact that EXR exists is a tribute to America ! Cars were good. Nannies/Instructors(understandably) programmed to keep wear and tear down on these precious machines.Track : very good; Certicate had 1 car wrong (McC 720 not listed) "communication problem"on the day before :told by 2 staff members on May 1 that McC 720 "had a blown engine"; I substituted a Huracan. Making it worse was the fact that the same thing happened to me in 2014 on my first EXR. We spend months bragging on the fact that we'll be driving McClarens to our motorsports buddies. Then.... My trip (driving a 30 year old motor home from SC was to drive the McClarens. Luckily the 720 magically appeared on 5/2!

We arrived at 915am got signed in and walked out to the cars. Our appointment was for 930 and I assumed the briefing would start then. It did not. It started at 945. While that was going on they were still bringing cars into the parking area. I feel all the cars should be available for viewing before the briefing begins. Perhaps I might change my mind and want to drive a different one. Also there was a couple of larger parties driving and my son waited for an hour and a half before it was his turn to drive his chosen car. If I had known he would be waiting for that large group to finish because they checked in first I would have made sure we were 1st in line when you opened at 9am. The instructor was very energetic at first but as morning wore on his enthusiasm warned. My son had a hard time understanding his instructor when he was driving. The site says to plan 3 hours but I guess we did not think we would be sitting around doing nothing for that amount of time.

Made reservations and assumed it was the old location, took a ***$ Uber ride to get to the right location. Was not a fan of the new track, I was looking forward to taking a second or two off my lab time. Book two cars, I wish you didnt have to go through the safety Brief, total waste of time and I didnt drive until 1.5 hours later. Then after I finished my first car, I was given a buzzer to wait again. I requested I go out right away. The time I wasted there I would have driven another car. I've been a customer since 2014, you are loosing money they way you schedule drivers. Last year I reserved a car that wasnt there when I arrived, All you ever do is say I apologize, you should offer me some free credit.

I felt that the driving coach really took away from the experience. I rented the C8 Corvette to compare it to my current Corvette (C6 Z06) and my two previous Corvettes (C5 Z06 and C7 Coupe), and to assess whether the C8 was something I'd ever consider purchasing. I wasn't looking to set a speed record or to get the best lap time, but rather to see how it handled, accelerated, braked, etc. With that, the coach didn't take any time to ask what I was trying to do, to see if I had any experience in sports cars, etc. and instead "coached" the entire time, even telling me when to upshift. All of my cars are manuals, and I understand when to shift and how power bands work. A ten second conversation could have maybe changed this, but they weren't concerned with finding out, but rather to get on and off the track, or at least it felt that way. It was unnecessary and extremely distracting and took a lot away from the experience. With so few laps to get in a rhythm, few will really be able to push a car to the limits the instructors know they're capable of doing, and with that, I think they should probably find out if that's the goal, or if the driver wants to just see how the car performs. Additionally, I didn't feel like I could tell the coach "hey, I've owned several Corvettes, with my current one being more powerful than this one, so please don't coach me on the optimum line, tell me I'm braking early, when to upshift, etc." without looking like a ***. I was okay with just enjoying some spirited driving on a closed course, and I felt like the coach didn't take that into consideration. I understand there's intent to push the experience up and to keep things moving, but overall, I just really didn't enjoy the drive like I thought I would. I probably wouldn't recommend it to any friends who I'd consider "car guys". And finally, with as much chatter as the coach was doing, the video wasn't anything I'd really care to watch more than once. I think an external microphone just capturing the car and track audio would be better, but that's just my opinion. Overall, I think the experience is tailored to the majority of the customer base, which makes sense, but I figured if this survey was sent, I'd pass along my thoughts. Thank you.

You overbooked and i ended up spending 3 hours there! I had booked my experience in March to drive May 18. I arrived 30 minutes early at 1030 attended the briefing at 11:00. My driving experience was not until 1:00. By then my family and friends were bored and upset. The excitement was gone. Very disappointing! It was extremely hot outsixe and very crowded inside. I had *** as my copilot he was excellent and made my experience very exciting. This was my second time, the wait was horrible- i think you should reduce the number of bookings or tell people to expext a 2 hour wait before they drive. I would like to return but I dont tgi k my friends wiil ever come!

I was struggling between raring acceptable or good. First of all all your employees have been great. I would have rated them excellent. Why the overall lower rating? Here's where I see room for improvement: - Dedicate one instructor for a customer booking a package. I drove 4 cars and had 4 instructors. They were all great, but it's difficult to adjust as a driver nevertheless. On the other hand this is key for the experience. I wouldn't have had a problem to wait after each car until my instructor is available again (in case he would not be right away). - You could do much better regarding the VIP area without really adding too much costs on your side. Get creative! If it's just free drinks, don't call it VIP ;-) - Having more real time statistics and lap times shown on screens around the place would be nice. I stayed for a few hours and could only shortly see my name once. Since you have and gather all data, I think there's much more you could do with it. Especially men are competitive. They want to see what's going on :-) - Having a small locker for my stuff (e.g. phone) would have been nice.

I told my instructor before we started that I was not interested in driving like a competitive racer but wanted to get a feel for the car. He went on anyway with so many instructions that I never got a chance to enjoy the experience. This was my third year in a row to Exotic Racing.

I did enjoy the actual drive around the track. I was a little disappointed that the *** was not available to drive. That was my choice from the beginning. I concentrated on the track while driving and did not look at the speedometer. I thought I would purchase a video to see how fast I was driving. When I received the video all of the telemetry did not work. Everyone wants to know how fast I went and I don't know. That is the main reason I purchased the video.
