The Limited Edition Ferrari 488 Pista raises the bar again for what Ferrari can do to create simply brilliant cars. When you consider that they started from an already brilliant car with the 488 GTB and made the 488 Pista more powerful, lighter and ultimately faster should be more than enough to stop you in your tracks and do whatever it takes to get behind the wheel.
It has the most powerful V8 engine that Ferrari has ever made, capable of 720 horsepower. It’s 200 pounds lighter than the 488 GTB, and has aerodynamics drawn directly from Ferrari racecars that won in Formula 1 and at Le Mans. It has driver aids that aren’t intended to hold you back, but instead to set you free to go faster. In fact it will go from a standstill to 62 MPH in 2.8 seconds and won’t quit until it reaches 211 MPH. The fastest time on the Michelin Time Trial scoreboard will likely come under serious threat by the 488 Pista.
Ferrari’s legacy of greatness and desirability has only been strengthened by the 488 Pista. And that says a lot.
