Since Nissan first announced the GT-R in 2007, the car that turned the supercar world on its head has been carefully evolved and tuned, and now in 2017 comes the third evolution. The basic spec hasn’t changed radically since it was launched. The 2+2 coupe configuration remains as does the 4.8-liter, twin-turbo, 24-valve V6. Every engine is assembled start-to-finish by the hand of one master technician in a clean room. The aluminum cylinder block features high endurance / low friction plasma sprayed bores through which aluminum pistons cycle to a maximum crank speed of 7,100 RPM. As a result, you get 565 horsepower at 6,800 RPM and 467 lb-ft of torque from 3,330 to 5,800 RPM through the fly-by-wire throttle beneath your right foot.

Evidence of Nissan’s incremental improvement is seen in the horsepower and torque increases since its debut. In 2009, the numbers were 480 and 430 respectively. From a standing start the car accelerated to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds in 2009. Today, it needs only 2.9 seconds. Drive still goes through an all-wheel drive system with an independent, rear-mounted transaxle and differential. Control comes through a dual-clutch 6-speed sequential gearbox with three drive modes, normal, save and R-Mode for maximum performance.

From behind the wheel, the Nissan GT-R ticks all the right boxes. The engine sits mostly behind the front axle line and the gearbox mostly in front of the rear axle. They are connected by a carbon-fiber prop-shaft. Moreover, the chassis is made up of front and rear subassemblies that are assembled in high-precision jigs with six mounting points. So, it may be a front engine coupe, but it feels more like a mid-engine GT.

On track, the dual intake, low-back pressure exhaust system plays a delicious harmony and when in R-Mode, the gearbox is able to pre-select the next gear to produce lightning fast upshifts that urge you to drive harder from corner to corner. Thanks to its construction, the Nissan GT-R retuned suspension offers plenty of mechanical grip from turn-in to mid-corner. Squeeze the power at the apex and the rear will slide with tire squealing delight, yet always in control. This car barks, but never bites. *** was the best coach. Everyone did a good job but if you are a driver trying to get better on track *** is the guy. A little pricey but fun.

Personally because of my age ( 73 ) and having stated to the first driving instructor ( and to his defence as he - I think - is pretty young - ) that I had never driven any of the vehicles I was about to drive this afternoon and more specific “ paddle shift vehicles before “ that it wasn’t until my second drive that this older instructor ( I believe he was anyway ) asked the same questions and we agreed to drive by auto ( which was one less issue to worry about ) - learn to drive paddle shifts under normal driving conditions before taking on driving on a race course. No question about promoting your business to any of my friends coming to Vegas. Everything else ran like clock- work !. I came away thrilled and worn out - a super day out !.

The driving experience itself was great. The employees constantly trying to upsell and sell other services got old really fast. It also would have been nice if the employees would have enforced the mask mandate as I saw a number of people without masks.

Customer support is non-existent as I tried contacting them multiple times across email and facebook messenger. Was even trying to add items to my purchase but their lack of response made that an easy decision. The experience was better but communication could be improved. I got there early as there was no time listed but come to find out my class wasn't until 10:15 for a 10:00 appointment so I sat around for nearly 45 minutes. Then i was one of the last groups out to the Cayenne's so it was a rather slow process. The GTR experience was much better, I had a good trainer which would definitely make or break the experience. The car had just been run multiple times so not sure the car was at peak performance but still loved every second of it. All in all, i really enjoyed the GTR driving experience but the total experience would of been much more enjoyable with some customer support and communication.

I really enjoyed the process, from check in, the briefing, the 2 lap run to explain the course and of course the driving. My instructor was kind of new and explained that he was new. My first lap, I tried the paddle shift, but didn't feel comfortable, as my car at home is a manual Audi S4, so I went to automatic. The first 3 laps were a little weird, as it seemed the throttle was being governed out of the last turn in the straight away. I would floor the GTR and it was stuck between 40 to 60 MPH. After I said something is wrong with the throttle on the 3rd lap, the instructor seemed to switch something, and Voila, the car had power. So it seems I had 3 laps without full power. My last 4 were great and right when getting used to the car, the 7 laps was over. I will return to do at least 15 laps next time, but I am really curious as to what happened on the course, and if the instructor had the governor on and didn't know it. He kept telling me to go and the car just wouldn't go.

Would like to be able to have the same person ride with me when driving multiple cars. Some are better in assisting than others. It is a great experience.

The two on-board video camera's on the vehicles where not enough to capture the experience of driving on the track. Some camera's should be added on the exterior of the vehicles. Also for the off road track a Rally Car would be a great addition to that track.

I really enjoyed the experience of driving my dream car plus 2 more super cars. I had 3 different copilots. All I can say all of them have different styles on how to give directions. Overall the whole experience was good as I tried to beat my record each lap time. They have a good variety of cars. I just wished they had more packages to accommodate the type of cars I wanted to drive since the ones I wanted were on different packages (all 3 cars)
